Pastor Damian Chambers elected for office at CJC Quadrennium Session 2014.
The Clear Park SDA Church wishes to convey congratulations to our Pastor Damian Chambers for being elected to serve as Communication, Public Affairs & Religious Liberty Director at CJC for the next four years.
This did not came as a surprise to us; we saw it coming based on what he has demonstrated and accomplished for the last year and several months that he has been leading our congregation and the other churches in our district.
Recently at our Communication’s Day Service, his partner in ministry described him as being, “A calm, quiet and assertive gentleman, who is humble, yet overly talented and extremely in love with Jesus…..This dictates and defines his entire life.” This says it all; it’s not the religion of the pulpit that judges a minister/man, but that of his family that reveals his true character.
As we are celebrating our rich church history, we re-affirm our belief that God has been leading His church through the various pioneers who gave unwavering service, were dedicated to mission and was willing to be led by the Lord in the various eras. Pastor, our desire for you is that you follow as the Chief Shepherd leads.
Pastor, we remind you of the words of the powerful philosophy you holds and add another profound one to it; we wish for you, your ministry and family, God’s continued direction and blessing. We will be praying for you all!
"Heavenly intelligences are waiting to co-operate with human instrumentalities, that they may reveal to the world what human beings may become, and what, through union with the Divine, may be accomplished for the saving of souls that are ready to perish. There is no limit to the usefulness of one who, putting self aside, makes room for the working of the Holy Spirit upon his heart and lives a life wholly consecrated to God. All who consecrate body, soul, and spirit to His service will be constantly receiving a new endowment of physical, mental, and spiritual power. The inexhaustible supplies of heaven are at their command. Christ gives them the breath of His own Spirit, the life of His own life. The Holy Spirit puts forth its highest energies to work in mind and heart. Through the grace given us we may achieve victories that because of our own erroneous and preconceived opinions, our defects of character, our smallness of faith, have seemed impossible." MH. Pg. 159
"The greatest want of the world is the want of men-- men who will not be bought or sold, men who in their inmost souls are true and honest, men who do not fear to call sin by its right name, men whose conscience is as true to duty as the needle to the pole, men who will stand for the right though the heavens fall. But such a character is not the result of accident; it is not due to special favors or endowments of Providence. A noble character is the result of self-discipline, of the subjection of the lower to the higher nature--the surrender of self for the service of love to God and man." Edu. Pg. 58.
